Spray Booths for Clean, Safe and Controlled Working

Do you need to Duct a spray booth outside?
This is one of the most common questions, and the answer depends on the type of spray booth you choose. more details below.
There are two main options:
Ducted spray booths (external extraction)
Ducted spray booths extract air and overspray out of the building via ducting.
Best for:
- Heavy or frequent spraying
- Heavy Solvent-based materials
- Professional or industrial environments
Benefits:
- Removes fumes completely from the workspace
- Highest level of air quality
- Ideal for continuous use
This is the most effective solution for managing overspray.
Recirculating spray booths (filtered air, re-cycled back into the room)
Recirculating booths filter the air and return it back into the room via the use of Particulate Intake filters and Activated Charcoal filters. The particulate (intake filters) take out all the spray particles and teh activated charcoal absorbs all the organic compounds that are in the spray.
Best for:
- Medium to moderate use
- Spray Glues, airbrushing, Water-based materials etc.
- Studios where external ducting isn’t possible
Benefits:
- No need for external ducting
- Easier installation
- Flexible placement
Important: These rely on filters to be changed, so regular maintenance is essential to maintain performance.
